Huntington Orthopedic Outreach Program (HOOP) was founded in 2011 by George Tang, M.D. in Pasadena, CA. Dr. Tang has generously given his time and skills to several medical missions throughout his career.  While traveling to underprivileged communities, he has improved the quality of lives with his surgical expertise.

It was on a medical mission to Tanzania, Africa in 2010 that Dr. Tang felt a need to create HOOP. He had a vision and saw a need to help so many people and with that HOOP was created. His goal is not only to provide surgical services to other countries but to our local communities as well. Dr. Tang currently practices at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, CA and was ranked as US World News Magazines “top doc in orthopedic surgery” for the years of 2012 and 2013.

He is currently practicing at one of US World News Magazines top 50 hospitals in the United States.
